The Great Lakes Water Authority lifted a boil water advisory for four cities in Wayne County Sunday. The city of Wayne and parts of Romulus, Westland and Inkster were cleared, meeting safe water standards. The advisory had been in place as a precaution since Friday evening because of the loss of pressure in the water system, the GLWA said. A power outage and resulting equipment malfunction caused the temporary issue, which has since been resolved.
